Prof. Kevin Naidoo is the Director of the Scientific Computing Research Unit at the University of Cape Town. Prof. Naidoo holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cape Town, and a PhD from the University of Michigan, USA. After a postdoctoral fellowship at Cornell University, USA, he joined the Faculty of Science at UCT as a computational scientist based in the field of chemistry. He is the South African Research Chair in Scientific Computing and was director of the Scientific Computing Research Unit in the Chemistry Department Professor Naidoo’s research develops informatics and computer-modelling techniques to interrogate data and simulate complex molecular processes in disease.
