The role of the Oversight committee is to ensure that the Institute fulfils its mandate as described in the IDIA founding agreement. In essence, this mandate is to set up a research cloud infrastructure for data intensive research primarily focused on radio astronomy, to manage it, to make it available to researchers and postgraduate students at its partner universities and to support its users. The Oversight committee generally meets once a year. This annual meeting includes representation from the senior management of SARAO.
