Christine de Kock
Christine de Kock is a PhD student in the Natural Language and Information Processing group at the University of Cambridge. Her research, funded by Huawei, focuses on online conversations and how to make disagreements more constructive. She started her career in Data Science in the Young Professionals Development Programme at the SKA South Africa (now SARAO). After leaving this programme she gained a Masters degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh, graduating as the top female student. In 2019, she participated in expeditions led by the South African National Space Agency to both Antarctica and Marion Island as a volunteer in the science team.
