ADASS stands for Astronomical Data Analysis Software & Systems. It is an annual conference and a natural destination to present the diverse IDIA activities. This year, we are there with two oral contributions (talks) and two posters.
- Alexander Sivitilli, Angus Comrie, Lucia Marchetti and Tom Jarrett from the Visualization Lab are presenting a poster on Virtual Reality and Immersive Collaborative Environements.
- Angus Comrie, Rob Simmonds, Andrianna Pinska and Russ Taylor are presenting a poster on Efficient Data Processing for Large Image Cube Visualisation.
- Mattia Vaccari is presenting a talk about The Ilifu Cloud Computing Facility and the HIPPO Project
- Lucia Marchetti is presenting a talk about The Data2Dome Initiative at the Iziko Planetarium in Cape Town and the IDIA Visualisation Lab
Make sure also not to miss our colleague Gyula Jozsa from SARAO who is giving a lightning talk on MeerKATHI – an end-to-end data reduction pipeline for MeerKAT and other radio telescopes
